8 million black folks aren't registered to vote as of today. Now, that's a shame. The last day to register is Monday, October 6.

Yeah, I get that a lot---you should see him when he is rockin' a 'fro.
The Board of Elections. I'm feelin you on that. But, hasn't that been an issue since we first got the right to vote? Hell, before we received that "right". They just can't seem to do what appears to be a simple job well, huh? Simple stuff like making sure the voting machines are up and running...correctly or ensuring that every person is given an opportunity to cast a vote. Remember in the most recent election that pathetic scene of black folks waiting in lines---for hours!--only to be turned away. My mother, who lives across the street from Buchtel, went up there to vote and they tried to tell her she needed to go clear across town to cast her ballot. Thank God she stood her ground and was able to vote there anyway. In 2004, the Ohio Secretary of State, Kenneth Blackwell (a Black Republican), was ultimately in charge of the voting process here. So, it was in his best interest for Black folks not to vote since most Black folks vote Democrat. Was it a coincidence that we were treated this way? I 'm frustrated and feelin insulted too, but I'm not gonna let that frustration keep me from showin up. I guarantee you 'they' are counting on that frustration to prevent me, you, and a vast number of us from showin up. So, has the democratic process always worked for us? HELL NAH! But, if I have to wait outside, in the cold rain---for hours to cast my vote that so many of our people have died for, then so be it, because the worst thing that we could do is stay at home on November 4. And, no, I ain't no expert on politics, but I am passionate about this election seein as how we have a qualified Black man with basically a 50/50 shot at becoming the President of this piece.....

Johnny just curious... are you not at all concerned with the board of elections and the way they operate?... I am one of the 8million that is not registered to vote but I'm tempted this year due to the circumstances were under... but it really feels like an insult to black people to vote.. I know most people wont agree but enlighten me brother you seem to be very up to speed on politics... p.s your son on the right of the picture looks just like You at Rankin... lol....
